Fahad makes winning debut

Fahad Rahman, the eight year old wonder kid and the youngest to win the national sub junior champion made a flying debut in the 32nd National Junior Chess Championship beating Sohel Alam in the first round at the Bangladesh Chess Federation on Wednesday.
A total of 83 players from across the nation are participating in the U-20 tournament. Former national junior champion Abdullah Al Saif and runner-up Iqramul Haque Siam are also taking part in the tournament. The tournament will be played in 9 round Swiss league system. 36 players won their first round matches on the opening day.
